Social Engagement & Companionship
Aging is often accompanied by circumstances that lead to feelings of loneliness. Children move away, spouses and friends have passed, and mobility is restricted. As a result of the loss of social interactions, older adults commonly feel isolated. CAREHomeCare team members are trained to provide both emotional and social support to seniors.
Based on individual interests, CAREHomeCare caregivers are able to engage in daily conversation, art, music, reading, gardening, cooking, brain-stimulating activities, games and regular physical activity. With the availability of companionship and conversation we find that older adults are able to build relationships and a renewed sense of purpose.
