  • Bathing, Grooming & Oral Hygiene: includes grooming activities such as shaving, brushing teeth and hair
  • Dressing: choosing appropriate garments and being able to dress and undress

  • Toileting & Incontinence Care – assistance to and from the bathroom, changing of protective undergarment, catheter care

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living

  • Using the telephone or computer to communicate
  • Managing medications: assistance and monitoring the taking of appropriate medications and correct dosages on time
  • Preparing meals: making appropriate food choices and preparing meals safely
